A Restaurant, Reality TV, and Global Travels.

The past few years have been really fun, anything but normal, and very difficult to explain on a linear resume.

On The Side

My wife and I designed, built, and operated an award winning restaurant. Now sold, Little Sparrow won dozens of awards for food and cocktails, interior design, and community involvement. Especially fun – we were featured on BravoTV as one of the 16 Best New Restaurants in the U.S.

Adventure

While freelancing as a Designer and Creative Director, we spent much of 2017 and early 2018 traveling the world. About a month each in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, England, Austria, Thailand, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

And now settled in Santa Monica, CA.

Freelance

I'm not a lifelong freelancer, but to gain the flexibility to operate the restaurant, and then travel the world, I made the switch a few years ago. Clients include(d); Bean Craft, Black Box, Dragon Global, MCM Venture Partners, Dr. Schulze's American Botanical Pharmacy, Living Healthy, Recess, SKUR, TBA21, and Galvanize.

I am 100% open to a full-time gig with a great company now that the restaurant has been sold and the world travels have, sadly, ended.

I Love The Creative Experience

The number of websites, apps, product interfaces, microsites, intranets, extranets, and dashboards I’ve been a part of is in the hundreds. Oh, and that doesn’t count video/tv, print ads, direct marketing, banner ads, email campaigns, social media, experiential, and events.

Yes, Awards

I’ve lost track of the awards, and you probably don’t care anyway. But the list includes J.D. Powers, One Show, Webby’s, FWA, CommArts, AIGA, and a host of smaller regional recognitions.

Creative & Analytical

As a result of my entrepreneurial activities and to the early part of my career on the ‘business’ versus ‘creative’ side, I moonlight as a business consultant. Mostly helping start-ups get their idea, business model, brand, and fundraising on-track.

Difficult To Classify

In not-so-creative roles, I've helped several companies open offices (strategy, budgeting, securing space, staffing, acquiring licenses) in Tokyo, Beijing, London, and San Francisco (from New York). I worked as part of a team to lobby and secure an annually renewing $12 million Federal Government appropriations contract for services. And, I've appeared on a BravoTV reality food show for my award-winning restaurant.

I see mountains and, quite literally, want to run to the top.
